Private by default. Clear enough for families.
Robotics is a great way for kids to learn. It shouldn't come with a tax of accounts, ads, or quietly-shipped data. Here is exactly what we do and don't do.
Promises
The list, up front.
No accounts
There is nothing to sign up for. The app works the moment you open it. No usernames, no passwords, no kid profiles.
No ads, no analytics, no trackers
No advertising. No third-party analytics. No SDKs that phone home about how your kid uses the app.
Local-first storage
The app keeps local copies of builds, photos, port maps, chat history, and generated code on the iPhone. AI features and voluntary feedback or skill submissions send the information described below. Deleting app data removes local copies; it does not delete information already sent to providers or reviewers.
AI is opt-in, every time
Every AI-powered feature asks for clear consent the first time it could matter. You can use the app without ever turning AI on.
Camera + mic indicators
In mounted mode, the screen shows a live red indicator while the camera or mic are streaming. You can't miss it.
Parental review
A grown-up can scroll through generated code and chat history any time. Nothing is hidden, summarized, or "AI-cleaned".
Data flow
What lives where, in one table.
These are the data types the app and this site handle on their own. Beyond this, we only ever have what you choose to send us directly — like a support email or a submitted skill.
| Kind of data | Where it lives | Seen by AI? | Shared |
|---|---|---|---|
| Build photos | iPhone | Only on explicit request | Only if you opt in to send feedback |
| Port maps | iPhone | Yes (build context) | Sent to AI provider during AI-assisted coding |
| Chat history | iPhone | Yes (turn context) | Sent to AI provider during chat |
| Generated code | iPhone | Yes (when drafting) | Never |
| Voice recordings | iPhone, then deleted | On-device first | Speech provider if on-device can't transcribe |
| LLM prompt / reply | iPhone → AI provider (retention per their terms) | Yes | Encrypted in transit |
| Shared skill code | Sent to us only if you submit one | No | With us, held for safety review |
| Location / network context | iPhone (mounted mode only) | Coarse context, on-device | Never |
| Beta feedback (photos / code failures) | Sent to us only if you opt in | No | With us, to improve prompts |
| Waitlist sign-up (this site) | Our CRM, only if you join | No | Name, email, consent, and optional robotics profile and notes |
| Crash logs | iPhone | No | Anonymous only, opt-in |

MAX

DANIIL
A father-son team, learning robotics together.
MyRoboBrick is built by Max and Daniil — a dad and his kid figuring out SPIKE Prime on the kitchen table. Every design choice goes through the test of: would Daniil actually want to use this?
For schools, families, and reviewers.
Need a written privacy summary for your school, district, or reviewer? Want to share a build that broke the assistant in a funny way? Reach out — we read every message.
